We are all common with those food cravings in the middle of the night. I know I sometimes just leave them at that and go to bed or whatever. But sometimes they are stronger than me. And I know that it is not only me. You are probably smiling right now, because you know you are guilty.

Thought it turns out  that our cravings in the middle of the night, usually are anything, but healthy. Especially if you really do get stuffed with them. Do you know which the worst foods we eat during the night are?

  1. Chocolate

    Although this is one of my all-time favorites I have to be honest with you and tell you that is very bad to eat that at night. Although my dream is to grab a bite of it before bed every night I know I can’t. Do you know why you should forget about it too? Because chocolate consists caffeine! And that could be the biggest disturbance of your good night’s sleep. The worst is the dark chocolate, because it contains more caffeine than the milk one. Oh, and BTW chocolate contains theobromine. This is another stimulant that can make your sleep difficulties.

  2. Spicy food

Eating spices is not for everybody. Sometimes they can irritate your bowl and make you have acids in your stomach. Acids can irritate your stomach so much, that you can be suffering all night from them. Spices also can make you hot. But not in a sexy way. Because of the spiciness of the food your body temperature could increase. And that could also make you sleepless, especially during the summer.

 

  1. Alcohol

Many people like to have a glass of wine before going to bed. It relaxes them and makes them fall asleep easier. But do you know what is a good night sleep? When you fall asleep and don’t wake up until the next morning. That is the only good rest you can get. But sometimes after drinking a glass of wine or two your sleep is disturbed. Researchers have found that drinking any alcohol before going to bed can make you wake up a few times during the night. And then in the morning you are not rested, but way more tired than what you went to bed like.

  1. Cereal

Although most people think that cereal (especially with milk) is good for you and won’t hurt if you have a bowl of it before bed, well it is not good for you! First of all milk has protein. And protein gives you energy. This is why it is highly known that it is good to eat protein for breakfast or before a workout. The cereal is easy to digest. This is why many people decide to eat them before bed. But there is cereal and cereal. Those full on sugar, can make us sleepless. Because sugar makes our heart go crazy.

  1. Junk food

Let’s start like that. You should NEVER eat junk good. Then you should NEVER eat junk food before bed. You know why? It is the worst thing out there concerning food and our health. You probably know why junk food is so bad for you, don’t you? It is the number 1 reason for obesity around the world. If you are sleep deprived you are likely to crave junks. I don’t know why, but junk food kind of calms out mind. But it can’t calm your stomach. All the greasiness and unhealthiness of that food will bother your body and stomach through the night and increase your sleep issues.
