#1 No leg crossing
When women sit on a chair they are often used to crossing their legs. This, however, is not the best posture for them because it can lead to pain in their legs. And not only this but when you combine leg crossing and high heels, the result will be even a greater pain in one’s legs.
That is why women should avoid such body positions not only at work but everywhere they are. That is why you should not cross your legs and more importantly, you need to take off your high heels as well. This way your legs and feet will have a chance to relax.
#2 Do not slouch in your chair
One of the most common mistakes people do when they are sitting is to slouch. Slouching can feel comfortable at the moment but it can have some really bad consequences beginning with some backache. It will be best if you forget about slouching completely and not only when you are working.
What you need to do instead is to sit in your chair straight. This way your hips should still be on the chair and not outside it as when you are slouching. And if you find this difficult, then you could get yourself some pillow to put on your bag when you are at your desk working. This way the pillow will hold your back and will help you sit straight and not slouch.

#3 Wrong arm positioning
The next body position in the list is another one that has been neglected by a lot of people. And this is about the positioning of the arms when one is sitting at their desk. If you do not want to feel pain in your arms after a long day at the office, then you need to be careful about the position of your arms throughout the day.
If your forearms are completely on your desk when you are working and the angle of the inner part of your elbow is bigger than 90 degrees than this means that the position of your arms is not a good one, but painful. That is why you need to be careful about your arm and shoulder position as well.
You should sit up straight with your shoulders in horizontal position and your inner part of the elbows should be forming a 90-degree angle. You can either put your arms on the arms of the chair, or you can put them on the desk, but you need to be careful about the position of the arms and shoulders.
#4 Wrong neck position
The next kind of position which could be a result from a bad sitting position at one’s desk. It could lead to some neck and head pain which means that one needs to be careful not only about their shoulders and back, but also about their neck and head positions.
In order not to put extra pressure on these parts of the body, you need to position your monitor in a way that will be comfortable to you. It should be vertical and not tilted backwards or frontwards. This way you will feel more comfortable as well.
#5 Sore eyes
The next problem which a lot of people who work on a computer have is connected to their eyes. Nowadays, there are a lot of special screens made to be flattering to one’s eyes but this still cannot get rid of the problem completely. That is why one needs to protect their eyes as much as they can.
One of the ways to do so is to wear glasses which will ease the negative effect from the screen. Another way to reduce the pain in one’s eyes is to sit as much as possible away from the screen. And, of course, taking a break from time to time to have some fresh air is also necessary for the health of one’s eyes.
