Purple is the colour of royalty. It symbolizes power, ambition, and nobility along with creativity and mystery. For all makeup enthusiasts and the makeup beginners, the purple eye shadows must be a necessary shade in their cosmetic boxes. This is why this shade has captivated people for centuries and why we chose this colour to be your best friend!
Step 1: Before you begin, you may wish to apply a good eye cream to hydrate the delicate eye area. Conceal all your dark circles with a heavy duty foundation. Prep the eyelid with a primer to ensure more vibrant and longer-lasting colour. Apply a shimmery light pink eyeshadow onto the eyelid from the lash line all the way to past the crease.
Step 2: Grab your small makeup brush and apply purple shadow slightly above the crease line. Soften the line by smudging the shadow on top with a small brush. Add dimension and depth to your eyes by making the purple colour more intense. Using a blending brush, soften any harsh edges.
Step 3: Add a dab of the light pink shadow on the centre of the eyelid with a damp brush for an extra pop of colour.
Step 4: Apply some of that light pink shadow to the brow bone as well.
Step 5: Using a dense eyeshadow brush, apply the blue colour to your waterline. Refine the colour with matching blue pencil. Use the blending brush to smudge the line across the lash line. Brush a frosty purple shadow to the outer corner of the lid to highlight.
To contour and define the look of your eyes, use a waterproof purple eye pencil and run it across your waterline. Your smoky effect is not complete without hot eyelashes! Use tweezers to place the strip on your eyelid, positioning it as close as possible to your natural lashes. As a final touch, coat top and bottom lashes with waterproof mascara. This will also help in blending your natural lashes with the false ones. You can even try mascara that contains a little bit of sparkle!
