Every season has its specific type of beauty and one could find something good in all the seasons. However, the weather in the different seasons also has different kind of effect on a person’s skin.

The weather in the fall, for example, is getting colder and there are stronger winds which often have a damaging effect on our skin. The good thing is that compared to summer, the sunlight in the fall is less strong and as a result it is not so damaging to one’s skin.

Today we decided to give you some tips and ideas how to protect your skin from the damaging weather conditions in the fall, so it stays healthy and fresh all the way through. Check them out!

#1 Moisturize

The first of our tips would hardly be any surprise for you. It is all about keeping your skin well hydrated during the season by applying moisturizing creams. The weather in the fall is getting colder and the winds are getting stronger. All of this makes one’s skin dry and irritated.

That is why you need to make sure you apply deep hydration creams at least two times a day – in the morning and in the evening before going to bed, to make sure your skin does not get dry. If your skin is generally too sensitive and dry, make sure you use a type of cream suitable for it, like one for deep hydration.

#2 Exfoliate

The next thing you can do in the fall is exfoliating your skin every now and then. This will help remove all dead skin cells from it and at the same time it will boost blood flow into the top layers of your skin. It will make it glow and stay healthy.

You need to remember, however, that you should not exfoliate your skin too often because there is a chance that you make it too dry. Exfoliation often has such an effect on the skin. You could exfoliate your skin a couple of times a month.

#3 Change your foundation formula

The next thing which you need to consider doing when fall comes is changing your foundation formula. Even if your skin is not generally dry, the weather in the fall, and later in the winter, makes it drier than usual.

So what you can do to compensate for it is to change your foundation and to start using some more liquid-y type of formula that would not additionally make your skin dry but it would moisturize it a little. You need to search for formulas with vitamin E in them as well because they will help nourish your skin.

#4 Keep a hand cream and lip balm with you all the time

The next thing which is very important to do in the fall months is to keep a moisturizing hand cream and some lip balm with you all the time. You also need to make sure you apply them after you wash your hands and before you go out.

The water can easily wash away the hand cream off your hands and that is why you need to reapply it, which also means that you need to have these products with you all the time. You can keep one in your car, your bag, on your desk at work, and on your night stand. This way you will make sure you never forget to apply them to protect your skin.

#5 Cover up

The next way you could protect your skin from the cold fall weather is to make sure you cover as much as possible from it. For example, you need to wear gloves all the time outside to protect your hand skin from the cold weather.

You also need to wear a scarf to protect your neck and possibly your mouth and some part of your face. This way you will keep it less damaged by the weather.

#6 Use skin masks

Skin masks are very important for the health of one’s skin not only during the fall, but also throughout the whole year. If you are wondering what kind of face masks to wear in the fall, you would better wear ones made from natural products, like honey and olive oil.

The olive oil that you add in the mask will deal with the dryness of your skin and the honey will nourish it. You could also include other natural products in the mask, like eggs and vegetables. And you could change up masks. One day you could try one type of such and the next – another. This way you will nourish your skin even better.
