This tutorial will walk you through an easy, everyday makeup routine using products you already have at home, and will teach you step by step how to apply them correctly. You will need a couple of things so go grab your makeup bag and let’s get started!

This tutorial uses only soft eyeshadows because the final look should be suitable for every day. To make this makeup simple and easy to recreate every single day you need to, first create a base to intensify the eyeshadows. It makes the colours pop right away and improve the pigment’s hold.

First, cut an inch-long piece of Scotch tape and place it underneath your bottom lashes at the outer corner of your eye and angle it towards the end of your eyebrow. This unconventional beauty aid will help guide you when applying intense pigment, especially if you are going for a more daring look like this one.

Step 1: To begin with, use a fluffy brush to apply brown eyeshadow to the crease line.

Step 2: Grab a thin makeup brush and apply black eyeshadow along the tape piece to create the wing of the eyeliner. Using the tape like a straight-edged ruler, draw a line along the tape past the outer corner. Now it’s time to practice your blending skills!

Step 3: Take your favourite smudging brush and start smoothing the black colour. Make sure you smooth any harsh lines or edges away.

Step 4: With your Scotch tape in place, grab your stiff dome brush and apply black eyeliner to create a cat eye effect. One thing you need to remember after applying eyeliner is to curl your eyelashes for a fabulous makeup finish. Finally, complete the eye makeup effect by applying black mascara.

Step 5: Apply dark colour to the waterline, gently blending the line.

If you want to further highlight this makeup, consider using false eyelashes. To apply them correctly, place the strip on your eyelid, positioning it as close as possible to your natural lashes. Allow the glue to dry naturally. Apply 2 to 3 coats of black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. This will help achieve more natural, glamorous look by blending your natural lashes with the false ones.
