Different people have different ways of relaxing after a long day at work. Some prefer to stay at home and watch TV, others go out to have a glass of wine, and we just want to have something sweet. That is why today we have prepared for you a couple of sweet dessert recipes to try when you want to relax after the long working week.
Recipe #1 Homemade Wafers
The first of our recipes is for those of you who love wafers. This delicious recipe will help you learn how to make wafers at home. You only need to have a wafer maker are home and you are good to go.
1 cup of sweet rice flour
¼ cup of sugar
1 cup of water
Mix the rice flour and the sugar with the water. Stir all the ingredients well until they turn into a relatively thick white paste.
Then cover the container the ingredients are in with a plastic bag of foil and microwave it for 3 ½ minutes. Then get the container out of the microwave to stir the paste a little and return it back to the microwave for 30 seconds more. Now your wafer mixture is ready to be made into wafers.
Turn on the wafer maker and spray it with some cooking oil or olive oil before you put in some of the wafer mixture. Some people prefer to use butter instead and you are also welcomed to do it.
Then get a ladleful of the mixture and put it in the center of the wafer maker. Bake it for 4-5 minutes at medium heat. Some wafer makers have timers, which can help you find out the right moment to get the wafer out. It should have brownish crisp. Make the rest of the wafers and serve them while they are still hot. You can put on top some ice-cream or some marmalade or chocolate if you prefer.
Recipe #2 Chocolate caramel rolls
Here is another recipe which those who love sweets will be thrilled about – Chocolate Caramel Rolls.
3 cups of pretzels
2 cups of crispy rice cereal
10 oz of marshmallow
¼ cup of butter
2 cups of chocolate chips
2 cups of caramel
some olive oil
1 zipper plastic bag
First get the plastic bag and put in it the pretzels. Then close the bag. Get a rolling pin, or something similar, and start rolling it over the pretzels. You need to break them so well that there are no pieces left, but just very small pretzel pieces. Once you are ready with it, mix the pretzel pieces with the crispy rice cereal and mix them well.
Now put the marshmallow into a container and add the butter on top. Microwave them for 3 ½ minutes by stirring them halfway through. Once you get the container out of the microwave the second time, the marshmallows and the butter will have turned into nice white cream.
Now mix the marshmallow cream with the pretzel-cereal mixture and stir it well. The mixture will be very thick so be careful while you are stirring.
Now get a baking tin and line it with one piece of baking paper. Then apply some olive oil on your hands so that the mixture does not stick on them and get the marshmallow mixture. Spread it all over the baking tin. Then put another baking paper piece on top of the mixture and use the rolling pin to spread the mixture more evenly on the tin. Once you do this, you can remove the second paper piece.
Now get 1 cup of caramel and spread it all over the marshmallow mixture in the baking pan. Then add on top the chocolate chips. Bake it for 2 minutes at 150 0C. Then get the tin out of the oven and spread the rest of the caramel on top.
Now with the help of the baking paper that is under all the layers of food, roll the mixture and remove it from the baking tin. Put it in the fridge to cool down for 2-3 hours. Once the time is up. Unfold the baking paper and cut the roll into smaller rolls. And the rolls are ready.
