Delicious Pancake Recipes for Your Weekend Breakfast

One of people’s most favorite breakfasts, no matter which country they live in, is pancakes. They are very delicious, relatively easy to do and one can have them sweat or salty the way they prefer better. And since we love pancakes a lot and think that they are one of the best breakfasts to have in your day off, we have prepared for you a couple pancake recipes, ones you have not tried yet. Here they are!

Chocolate pancakes


2 eggs

40 grams of sugar
350 milliliters of milk

45 grams of melted butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

200 grams of flour

30 grams cocoa powder

9 grams of baking powder

100 grams of chocolate

For the topping:

250 milliliters cream

200 grams dark chocolate



Step 1

First you need to get the eggs and to divide the yolks from the egg whites. Put them in different bowls. Add 40 grams of sugar to the egg yolks and mix them together. Then add the milk into the bowl and again mix the ingredients together. After that you need to whisk the egg whites which are in the other bowl and once they are whisked you need to add them into the other bowl with the rest of the mixed ingredients. After you whisk them you will have a nice whitish mixture. Then add the melted butter and the vanilla extract and whisk them with the rest of the mixture. Put it aside.

Step 2

Get a clean bowl and mix the flour with the cocoa butter in it. You could sift the flour beforehand if you want the powders to become smoother. Then add the baking powder and mix them together with the cocoa powder and the flour. Then add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir them together. Once you mix it well you will have a nice-looking brown slightly liquid paste. Finally add the 100 grams of chocolate into the bowl. It would be best if you grate it beforehand. Continue mixing it until the chocolate melts completely. Then set the mixture aside for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile you may prepare the topping for the ready pancakes. Get a deep pan and bring the cream to boil. Then remove the pan from the hot plate and add the dark chocolate into the pan. The warm cream will help the chocolate melt faster. Mix them well together and it will turn into a delicious liquid chocolate consistence.

Step 4

Now you may prepare the pancakes. Add a ladle of the mixture in a preheated pancake pan and bake it on each side for about a couple of minutes. You need to make sure the pancake is nicely baked on the first side before you flip it over. Once you have baked all the pancakes you may pour the dark chocolate mixture over them. Decorate them with some raspberries if you like. And voila, the chocolate pancakes are ready!

Banana and Oatmeal Pancakes


2 bananas

3 eggs

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

¾ cup of quick oats

¼ cup of chocolate chips

¼ teaspoon of salt


Step 1

First you need to peel the bananas and then to put them in a bowl. Mash them using a fork until they turn into a paste. Then add the eggs into the bowl and mix them well together. Then add the peanut butter, the quick oats, and the chocolate chips. Mix them well together once again, add the quarter of teaspoon of salt and continue mixing the ingredients together. Once you get a nice well-mixed mixture, you are ready to do the pancakes.

Step 2

Preheat your pancake pan and apply evenly some olive oil, or a piece of butter in the pan. Then add a ladle-ful of the oatmeal mixture into the pan and bake it. Once the pancake is baked evenly on the first side, you can flip it over and bake it on the other. It will take you about a couple of minutes to bake the pancake on each side. Continue preparing the pancakes until you are out of mixture.


When your pancakes are ready, you could garnish them with pieces of bananas, some chocolate chips, and some delicious maple syrup. If you decide to serve them with maple syrup, it would be best if you leave the pancakes for a couple of minutes aside to absorb the maple syrup as much as possible before you serve them.
