Chocolate Raspberry Cake Recipe to Try This Spring

There are many people who adore chocolate and cannot skip a day without having a piece of this divine delicacy. There are other people who also like chocolate but prefer fruits because they are also sweet but are healthy and full of vitamins. And since we love both chocolate and fruits, we decided to combine them together in a delicious recipe which is perfect for the spring.

Today we will show you a recipes the main ingredients in which are chocolate and raspberry. So, how can one combine them better than in a nice sweet spring cake? If you love such desserts, then you will love this cake as well.

Chocolate and Raspberry Cake Recipe

This cake is perfect for the spring because one can find fresh raspberries which to use for it.

Ingredients:

2 cups of flour

2 cups of heavy cream

1 ½ cups of chocolate chips

½ cup of raspberry jam

4 eggs

1 cup of milk

¼ cocoa powder

1 cup of cooking oil

1 cup of sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

1 tablespoon of baking soda

a cup of fresh raspberries for decoration

Directions:

Step 1

Firs you need to get a bowl and pour the cups of flour in it. Then add the cup of sugar and the salt. Add the baking soda and mix all these ingredients well. Put this bowl aside for know.

Step 2

Now you need to mix all 4 eggs with the oil in another bowl. You need to whisk the eggs, though, beforehand. Once you have whisked the eggs with the oil. You need to mix them with the flour mixture in the other bowl. Do it gradually and do not pour the whole mixture at once. Pour half of it while stirring, and then pour the second half by continuing stirring.

Step 3

Once you have a nice homogeneous mixture, you can add the milk into the bowl and then the vanilla. Stir the ingredients well once again. This time the mixture would be much rare because of the milk in it.

Step 4

Now you need to separate the cake mixture into two equal halves. Once you do this, add the cocoa powder into the bowl with the first half and mix it well until you have equally colored brown mixture. Then get the raspberry jam and pour it into the other mixture. Mix it well until it turns pink.

Step 5

Once the two cake mixtures are ready, the time to bake the cake crust has come. Get a deep baking tin. Then pour one cup of the brown mixture on the bottom of it, then pour a cup of the red mixture on top of the brown one.

Continue this way until all the parts of the mixtures are added into the tin. This way you will create a cake with a “zebra” effect. And then simply bake the mixture for 25-35 minutes at 175 0C. Take it out of the oven when it is nicely baked.

Step 6

While you are waiting for the cake crust to be baked you can move on to the next thing you have to do. Get a deep pan and pour the heavy cream in it. Then heat it. Wait for it to get warm and then pour the chocolate chips into the pan. Mix them well until the chocolate melts completely. Then take the pan off the hot plate.

Step 7

Now once the cake has been baked, take it off the tin and turn it upside down. You can put it on some tray or another tin even. Then get the chocolate mixture you have prepared while the cake was being baked and pour it evenly on top of it.

Then put the fresh raspberries on top of the cake. You can use your imagination for this step. And then let the cake cool down. After that it would be ready to be served. You can sprinkle some coconut flakes or some powdered sugar. And voila! The cake is ready!
