Forget black – blue is the new black! After all, like failsafe black, blue eye makeup goes with everything. It complements every eye colour and especially makes brown or green eyes more vivid. The light and gliding texture dries quickly adhering perfectly to eyelids, without fading or flaking. What is more, the blue shade is ideal for both daytime and an evening look. It also happens to be an easy style upgrade that you can incorporate in understated, small doses—or take it over the top. When correctly used, blue eyeliners could give you a very attractive look without necessarily making you look casual. In this part, we are not going to dwell much on how to use them since blue is just a colour. You will follow the usual steps on how to do eyeliner.
Step 1: Apply primer all over your eyelid to prepare the skin for the makeup application. To highlight your brow bone, use a soft white or cream colour directly under the eyebrow along the arch. Run white eye pencil to your waterline to make your eyes look bigger and brighter!
Step 2: Now, grab a blue eye pencil and outline your waterline just below the white eye pencil.
Step 3: Use the same blue pencil to recreate the cat eye flick. Pencil eyeliner is easy to apply, but sometimes doesn’t spread as smoothly or thickly as gel or liquid liners. To determine the ideal angle of your wing, simply line your eyeliner from the outer corner to the tail of your brow. Then, slowly swipe the liner from the outer corner of your eye towards the end of your eyebrow.
Step 4: Gently outline your upper lash line with the blue pencil. For best results, layer the product at least 2 times to get good colour intensity. Last but certainly not least, apply mascara to highlight this amazing blue eyeliner effect!
