Start with sea salt spray. Shake the sea salt spray before using it to ensure the product is properly mixed and ready for application. Apply the texturizing spray to each strand of your hair. Once the sea salt is applied, twist and crunch your hair to activate the sea salt spray. For best results, use a small amount of styling cream or mousse for more volume and shine. This will give you that wet, messy, and wavy look which everyone loves! Now, you need to blow dry your hair completely. To encourage waves to form, move the dryer up towards your head allowing your hair to scrunch up onto the diffuser.
If you wish, tease the back of your head. Take a strand of your hair, hold it straight upward, place your comb in the roots and apply firm brush strokes downward to the scalp. You can use strong holding hairspray to secure the volume. Repeat the procedure with the next sections of hair.
Since you are about to use a heat styling iron, it is very important to add a heat protection spray. This way your hair will be protected from split ends, breakage, dryness and lack of luster.
Heat up your large-barrel curling iron. Remember that waves will not form if you try to curl your hair with the iron before it reaches the correct temperature. Then, take your curling iron and wrap a relatively small section of your hair around the curling iron. Repeat the process with the next bottom section of your hair.
Then, braid a small section of your hair on the side. To spice things up, add two smaller braids on each side and secure with a rubber band. Repeat on the other side of your head.
Bring all the braids towards the back and secure again with a clear rubber band. On your final twist of the elastic, pull hair only partially through the elastic to form a loop. This way you will create a small bun, while leaving the ends of the pony down. The only thing left is to add a quick blast of hairspray and you are ready for the festival!
