In this age where casualness has been teeming in any kind of environment and event, dressing up has turn into an uncommon issue. We, girls, grab to every opportunity to do so. There is nothing wrong with that, to be honest. This is why we have decided to bring to you the side braided tutorial! The end result looks so feminine, effortless, yet adds something special to your overall look. The side braid is currently a hit, once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to do, and makes quite the statement. Need this look in your life? We’ve outlined each step for you below.

First, prepare your hair by brushing it to remove any knots and tangles. Begin by parting a section on the right side. Split this section into three equal sections and get ready for the Dutch braid.

Start the Dutch braid – cross the right strand under the centre strand and then cross the left strand under the centre strand. After one stitch, begin incorporating new hair pieces from the sides into the braid. Following the same technique, continue braiding and adding more hair to your braid by picking up small strands every time you cross each section. Incorporate hair into the strand on the left side and cross the side strand under the middle. Since this is a side braid, take a slight diagonal angle with your braid from the top right of your head to the bottom left.

With the help of a clear rubber band, tie the braid to secure its end. Lay hair from the top of the head over the band to hide it. If you have shorter layers that come out of the braid, simply use bobby pins to secure them in place. Last but certainly not least, loosen the braid to make it fuller and bigger.

If you want to complete the hairstyle, use a curling iron to curl the ends of your hair. Set the style with hairspray to finish the look and you are ready to go out and show off your new hairstyle to the world!
