There are a lot of places you can buy a cake nowadays. That is why a lot of people prefer to get some ready-made for their birthday instead of spending time in the kitchen preparing it themselves. However, this does not mean that this way the cake will be more delicious. Actually, if a person makes the effort to prepare a cake themselves for their birthday, the guests will like it better because it will be a special cake the person made the effort to do.
And if you are planning to make some cheesecake for your birthday, then you can have a look at the two suggestions we have prepared for you today. Here are they!
#1 Strawberry cheesecake
2 and ½ cups of pretzels
10 tablespoons of melted butter
16 ounces of cream cheese
1 and ½ cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ cup of sour cream
1 cup of whipped heavy cream
2 cups of water
6 ounces of strawberry gelatin
1 pound of strawberries
First you need to prepare the bottom layer of the cake. For this purpose you are going to need the pretzels. Put them in a plastic zipper bag and close the bag. Get a rolling pin and roll over the pretzels in the bag. This way you will break them into pieces, which should be neither too big, nor too small.
Then you need to put the pretzel pieces into a bowl and pour the melted butter on top of them. The butter should not be salted. Then mix them together so the butter is spread evenly between the pretzel pieces.
After that you need to get a round cake pan and to put the pretzel pieces on the bottom of it. Spread them evenly covering the bottom of the pan completely. Once this is ready you need to bake the bottom layer of the cake in the oven at 1800 C for 10 minutes.
Now you need to get the cream cheese, put it in a bowl and whisk it. It is actually better to use a mixer for the purpose. You can mix it for a couple of minutes and then add the powdered sugar into the bowl.
After that you need to add the vanilla extract and the sour cream. Then you need to continue mixing it for a couple more minutes. Then get the whipped heavy cream and add it into the bowl with the other mixture. Then continue mixing the whole mixture for one more minute.
Then, once the cream mixture is ready, you need to take the pretzel layer out of the oven and pour the cream mixture on top of the bottom one. Spread it evenly on the surface. And then you need to put it in the fridge for some time.
While you are waiting for the cake to get refrigerated, you can prepare the top layer of it. You need to get a deep pan and to heat the water in it. Then when the water starts boiling add the strawberry gelatin into the water and stir the mixture a little. Stir it for a minute or so and then take the pan off the hotplate.
Let the strawberry gelatin mix cool down for a some time. Meanwhile you can wash the strawberries and remove the leafy parts. You also need to cut them into some pieces. Try to make them more of less flat ones.
Then put the strawberry pieces into the gelatin water. Stir them together.
The next thing you need to do is to pour the strawberry gelatin mixture on top of the refrigerated cake. Spread it evenly on top and put the cake back in the fridge for 4 more hours.
Once they have passed you can take the cake out of the fridge and you can serve it. Enjoy!
#2 Banana cheesecake
¼ cup of oil
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 and ½ cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
¼ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
32 ounces of cream cheese
1 tablespoon of gelatin
1 cup of hot milk
First you need to peel the bananas and to put them in a bowl. Mash them turning them into a pure. Then add the oil, the egg, half a cup of sugar, and the teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Stir the mixture well and then add the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, the salt, and the cinnamon. Mix the ingredients well so it all turns into a homogeneous mixture.
Then get a round cake pan and pour the banana mixture into it. Spread it evenly on the bottom. Then bake it for 30-40 minutes at 1800 C.
Meanwhile you need to put the cream cheese into a bowl. Pour the tablespoon of the vanilla extract on top of the cheese and whisk it.
Then add the gelatin into the hot milk stir them together. Then pour the milk in the bowl with the cream cheese. Continue whisking the mixture until it is turned into a homogeneous one.
Now you need to take the baked cake out of the oven and spread the cream cheese mixture on top of it. Spread the cream evenly and refrigerate the cake after that for 3 hours or so.
Once they have passed, you can take the cake out of the oven and serve it. Enjoy your birthday cakes!
